First I changed the mode to 'Lab Color' then I adjusted the colors to make them more vivid. Afterwards I merged both layers and changed the mode back to 'RGB Color'. Then I adjusted the 'Hue/Saturation' until only a little bit of color was left. Then I increased the exposure, offset, and gamma correction until I was satisfied with the result.
I used Photoshop Tip 28: And changed the blend layer from normal to luminosty when I made the adjustment in 'Curves'.
